Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the Rate Calculator cost?
Based on the state in which the work takes place and the job description (for workers’ compensation) the markup percentage ranges from 22% to 38% of the worker’s hourly pay rate.

Isn’t this what a payrolling company offers?
A payrolling company such as ADP offers payrolling, but they do not become the worker’s employer. They do not assume any of the traditional responsibilities and liabilities that are associated with employees/workers. They normally only provide the bookkeeping function of cutting paychecks and calculating the applicable taxes.

What happens if my company locates the worker and want to convert him/her to a permanent employee?
Top Echelon Contracting does NOT charge a fee when you convert any worker that you have located. After we are notified of the date that the worker will transition from our payroll to your company’s payroll, we will process the necessary paperwork to ensure a smooth transition. Note: We require a minimum of five weeks for a technical/professional worker.

When will the workers be paid?
Top Echelon Contracting pays workers on a weekly cycle based on time sheet transmittals. All time sheets require a signature from an authorized company representative at your location. This ensures the accuracy of the hours for payment. Direct Deposit is also available to all workers.

How will the company invoices be processed?
Top Echelon Contracting will invoice a company based on the hours that are authorized via a manager’s signature at the company. Time sheets are submitted with the actual invoice for tracking purposes. Standard invoicing is on a weekly cycle and customized invoicing is available.
